What is Hour of Code?

"The Hour of Code is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries. Anyone anywhere can organize an Hour of Code event. One-hour tutorials are available in over 45 languages. No experience needed.""

--Code.org

How does it work?

Students will complete either:

  • A teacher-directed lesson, or
  • A self-directed tutorial

to help students develop computational thinking skills

But, I don't have a computer lab!

There are two options:
You can book a lab, the iPads, or the Computers on Wheels and complete a lesson through there, or
There are "unplugged" lessons where you can complete the lesson without any technology in the class.
